Great win yesterday against Reading 2-1 at Pride Park. Just what we needed. Hopefully this will be the start of more good things to come.

It's not looking too good at the moment. We're only 6 places from the bottom of table. This Saturday we play Reading at home. Hopefully we should manage a win with both teams on 17 points.

Can't get any worse!

Well yet another loss, away at Liverpool this time. We are rock bottom now so things can only get better. It's really difficult trying to survive a first year back in the premier league. The problem is money, it's just got absolutely silly now all through greed. Anyway lets hope for better things.

Not looking too good!

After a decent start at home to Portsmouth we have managed to lose two matches. The first one away at Manchester City wasn't too bad at 1-0 but yesterday a complete thrashing at Tottenham 4-0. I couldn't believe it Tottenham scored their first in the second minute and before long we were 3-0 down . The second half was slightly better giving us a bit of hope.

Last Night

Well we have just lost our first match of the season away at Manchester City. We played quite well so it's not too worrying. We shall have to see if we can put it behind us and manage a win at Tottenham on Saturday. Tottenham have played two matches without a win, I hope we can make it three.

The New Season Has Begun

Well the new season has started. Derby managed a draw at home to Portsmouth. It was a good match which either team could have won. Derby scored first in the fourth minute and Portsmouth hit back half way through the first half. Portsmouth took the lead in the second half but luckily we managed to make it 2-2. We have two tough matches coming up next week, both away. Manchester City on Tuesday and Tottenham next Saturday.

Hurray we've done it. What a match, I thought it was never going to end. Well done to DERBY can't congratulate them enough. Off to drink lots of wine to celebrate.

It's the big day tomorrow. Unfortunately I shan't be able to go and I haven't got Sky Sport so I'm not sure whether to find a pub where I can watch it or stay in and listen to it on the radio. Anyway good luck to Derby County!!!

Through to the final!

What a match last night! Congratulations to Derby for getting to the final. I had to listen to it on the radio, don't know how I got through it. I think it must have been the most exciting match in the football league so far this season. We have almost two weeks now to compose ourselves ready for the final at Wembley. Have to wait until tonight to find out if we shall be playing Wolves or West Bromwhich Albion. Hopefully it won't be quite as exciting as last night, don't think I could cope!

Great Start!

Few we managed to win the first leg away at Southampton in the play off's. Not looking forward to Tuesday as I shall be a nervous wreck through the return match. Anyway we couldn't have wished for a better start.

Disaster!

What a disaster yesterday. After all the hard work and being well clear in third place we are in the play off's yet again. I'ts the last thing we needed with our track record but we will have to keep our fingers crossed. I'm not looking forward to next Sunday when we have to play Leeds United. Even though it won't change anything now either way, my fiance' supports Leeds and if they win I shan't hear the last of it. Leeds are our bogie team so it looks as though I'm in for a bad time.

The Rams!

I have been a rams fan since the early 70's. In those days I used to go to all the home games and also some away matches. Unfortunately at todays prices I can't afford to. The seventies were great times for the Rams, they won the old 1st division title twice. We had many great players then and most were underated. A few of my favourites were Kevin Hector, Colin Boulton, Colin Todd, Ron Webster, Alan Hinton, John Robson and Roy Mcfarland who has recently been the manager of Chesterfield where I live.
